Darkness is a state. A way of life. Is not a choice.
We are damned, condemned to it. And we embrace this fate's judgement with grace and pride. We are "the opposite", the contrast. "The light" is out there swallowing the whole world with its "wisdom" and power, but we are not part of it. Probably we'll never be. We are the rejected, the ones that light doesn't need, doesn't want. The consequences of a world going forward in its self destruction. The shadows that the all mighty light project on the floor. The ones that don't follow what is told by everyone. By the "enlighten".
Yes, darkness is within us. We are the fallen, the losers on it all. But we are, also, us. We are truth. No light poison us, there's no past, nor future in us. We are just who we are, and we are all we have. The shadow casted in the dark side of things.
We don't fear a thing because we have none at all.
But we will persevere. We will become one. We will be many. We'll be the ones to give truth to this world, by light, shadows and the darkest of times. Because we are not here for just some time. Shadows are eternal, light is a circumstance.
Because all light has a shadow, but the darkness doesn't need any light to be.
Yes, we are darkness, we are the ones you shall not see, but you will feel us. Within and without.
'Cause not every heart gives light to the world, but every heart casts it's own shadow.
We are proud of who we are, and will forever be.
We are the dark.
